Playgroups & Schools
We offer nursery placements for children aged 2-4yrs, term time. Sessions are 9-12 and 12-3. We are based within the school grounds in a spacious setting (in and outdoors) with access to the whole school provision (eg lunch hall, PE facilities). With caring, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment with varied and irresistible learning opportunities to support your child’s individual learning journey. Thorough transition for Year Reception. Funding accepted.

Opening in 2019, Wellington Eagles Primary is a new purpose-built school sited on the old Salisbury Plain Barracks and vehicle depot.
With strong links to our sister school, Wellington Lions Primary, Eagles is a friendly, welcoming school with extensive grounds and superb facilities.
Our curriculum is based around ‘The Curious Child’ providing children with enriching and exciting experiences so that they can all achieve success in their learning journey.
Our main aims are to promote:
- the rigorous learning of key skills within a rich and broad curriculum holistic learning by developing the whole child innovation in the way that we teach and learn collaboration with parents and carers, the military community and local primary schools.

The Academy has been described as ‘the jewel in the crown’ of the Tidworth Community Area plan. We will play a key part in the regeneration of the Ludgershall and Tidworth area, not least through the Tidworth Community Area Partnership.
The Academy serves the communities of Chute, Chute Forest, Collingbourne Ducis, Collingbourne Kingston, Everleigh, Ludgershall, Tidcombe & Fosbury and Tidworth, including Perham Down.
The Academy is a facility for the whole community, being both a centre of learning and a focus for a wide range of extended services for the surrounding area. The school site includes Castledown Radio. We intend to relocate the media centre into refurbished facilities within the current Science block. Our school was opened on its present site in 1978. It is situated in pleasant surroundings within a short distance of the village centre, yet within close proximity to Collingbourne Woods Our shared vision for Castle Primary School is of a happy, vibrant learning community, improving together.
We are working with pupils, parents and the wider community to create the supportive atmosphere of trust and mutual support in which we all thrive.
Our main focus will be on raising pupils’ achievement.

Ludgershall Pre-School is a Community Group that originally started in the village in 1971. We moved into our own mobile premises in Castle Primary grounds in 1990 and in April 2010, after a lot of fundraising, donations and 2 sizable council grants we were able to open our current purpose built premises.
