Meet Ludgershall’s Standard Bearer – Colin Bulpitt

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Colin, who proudly carries the Ludgershall Royal British Legion Standard throughout the year.

Colin has had a very busy week! Last Sunday he took part in the Festival of Remembrance at Trowbridge Civic Centre, a full evening of actors and singers, with the Standard Bearers marching after several rehearsals. The day before, he attended two Remembrance services at Stonehenge.

The Ludgershall Standard has travelled far and wide. It has been all over Normandy, including a service at Bayeux Cathedral attended by the then Prince Charles and Camilla, and it has been carried at several services in Salisbury Cathedral.

Colin is part of the Wiltshire Standard Bearers network, which makes sure that a Standard can be present at funerals, services and functions across the county.

Thank you, Colin, for your dedication and for representing Ludgershall with such pride.

We will remember them.
